Garden pond refurbishment
This raised pond had an old liner which was choked with water plants. It was decided that we should initially carry out an assessement of the pond to decide what options were available to improve the pond. The pond was cleaned out first. The fish and water plants which were worthy of keeping, were transferred into special holding facilities for the duration of the project. Following this assessment, the old liner was removed along with the stone work which was set aside for reuse. Next the pond was reshaped and a concrete ring was constructed to give the edge support. A new heavy duty liner was then installed along with the original stone work. The water feature at the head of the pond was also repaired. Water plants were placed on the newly created planting shelves. Within a couple of months, the plants soon became re-established and provided a confortable home for the fish.
